And I genuinely appreciate Arndts defense and advocacy for men, but I think this article is less on point and coherent than usual. Wouldn't normally bother commenting on something like this, but as a chick who grew up in the 90s and 2000s and was, by all measures, very hot (I'm still pretty hot, but judging against other 45+) I can say a lot of the stuff we have now would have helped me in the past, and we weren't as multiculti back then. I think my daughter, who is objectively gorgeous, is better served by many of the guardrails we have now than I was at her age.

Coming back to this country after decades away, what struck me most was the degree to which everything has. been feminised – even, or perhaps especially, the men – and women seem to demand equality while still being put on a pedestal, and don't even seem happy with the result.
Women are paid less, less likely to be promoted, face higher rates of abuse and murder at the hands of intimate partners, do more hours of unpaid work and have less leisure time, what part of this is women being put on a pedestal?
