It is also worth noting that the "ten to men" drivel didn't actually find 1 in 3 men perpetrated abuse in relationships. It amdrew this conclusion from the fact 1 in 3 men answered yes to the question "have you ever done anything that made your partner feel anxious or afraid?" . Ponder that for a second. I like to swim in surf (and I am a strong swimmer) - it definitely makes my partner anxious, is that abuse? I break up fights because I can't stand by and watch someone get hurt. It makes my partner anxious - is that abuse? Does anyone seriously contend that the question is a sensible measure for abuse?? Personally, I am surprised the numbers were so low and I wonder if the survey participants were engaged while answering the questions 🤔
