I've seen false claims first hand. My wife and I funded one of my old teachers defense against a plainly / clearly false molestation claim. The accuser provided what lawyers referred to as the shortest claim ever. There was no real detail in the two sentence claim and what was there was wrong. Wrong years, places, people etc. When challenged in a civil proceeding the accuser admitted that his claim against was a mistake / error. He then went on to say that the perpetrator was a different person, just with the same name, only a different spelling. Crazy. The accused now sits in a nursing home with false claims still sitting on the web and with his reputation trashed by an individual who admitted to being a drug addict and alcoholic. The teacher has his faults, pedophile isn't one of them. He spent near 65yrs in the service of others as a teacher and then priest and this is his reward.

It is sobering to reflect on Dr Matthewson’s warning that the consequences to poor Grainger’s daughter will be “just as serious and damaging as the consequences of being abused.” And much of the blame must be laid at the feet of the Family Court for facilitating the problem while mouthing platitudes about “the best interests of the child.” Rank hypocrisy.
