Yes, but very few of the older generation of women are speaking out in public. Older women often approach me in supermarkets telling me they agree with what I am doing but they uniformly say they wouldn't care voice their concerns. I wish I could work out how we can get that group to become active.

I've also had older women whisper to me, for example, "men are getting a hard time", or "We need strong men", but I've also had older women in the family pile onto me if I mention men's issues. These women dominate the family narrative. They are very strong with their words and matriarchal authority. While they lash out at the "patriarchy", the wage gap, etc..., hubby just sits dutifully in his place, and puts on the "yes, it's so bad look". The other women either nod along, or are too scared to stand up for their men.
