I agree completely. In my view this is an uninformed contract. The man is agreeing to probably one of the most serious contracts of his life, where the consequences for him are highly likely to be profoundly negative. However not only is he uninformed but he is actively misled about what he is actually signing up for and how aggressively the whole government machinery will enforce the terms of this contract that he never even knew about.

Such a contract would never hold up in court in any other aspect of life. When you buy a toaster, you have more contractual protections and are better informed.

Nothing will change this as powerfully than if boys and young men become educated about this.
