My age group 60+ are sick and tired of hearing about so called feminists, they wouldn’t know the meaning of feminist. My mum’s generation were tough resilient women, they took on many roles not just stay home Mum’s, they were true survivors in every sense of the word. Feminists today cry like babies, lie to get what they want and destroy decent men along the way. It makes my skin crawl also. Don’t worry the wimpy men who support these so-called wanna be feminists are outnumbered by real tough females who are true survivors of tough times.
Yes, but very few of the older generation of women are speaking out in public. Older women often approach me in supermarkets telling me they agree with what I am doing but they uniformly say they wouldn't care voice their concerns. I wish I could work out how we can get that group to become active.
I've also had older women whisper to me, for example, "men are getting a hard time", or "We need strong men", but I've also had older women in the family pile onto me if I mention men's issues. These women dominate the family narrative. They are very strong with their words and matriarchal authority. While they lash out at the "patriarchy", the wage gap, etc..., hubby just sits dutifully in his place, and puts on the "yes, it's so bad look". The other women either nod along, or are too scared to stand up for their men.
